Sink stinks

So if you let the water out of our sink it totally smells bad. Anyone have any idea why this might be? Is it as simple as putting Draino down the sink or is there something else that I should try first? I care but its the girls I'm worried about because I'm leaving soon so I hope that maybe I can fix it before they go away. I know a guy who works in the sink business I wonder if he maybe able to help me.

Hi this is Robbie and I am going to India with you incase you didnt know.

So I am assuming you have a double sink right? So when the water goes down the drain then air is being pushed out the other sink drain?

Use some drano and stop washing food down your sink.

Eric in Vic here:
Hahaha, ok Glenn I'm just reading your blogs for the first time. So the best solution would be to remove your drain, stick your hand down the sink and actually clean it. Cleaning under the drain or under the strainer is usually neglected by most, but is probably the cause of the smell. Or if you have bags of money like I know you do .. just replace the sink and nearby pipes. I may be able to get you a deal ;)
